TUXEDO RAGS CONTRACT FOR SALE OF KITTEN EXHIBIT A--TERMS AND CONDITIONS:   BREEDER GUARANTEES   CATTERY FREE OF DISEASE THE BREEDER GUARANTEES THAT AT THE TIME OF THE ADOPTION THE BREEDER’S CATTERY IS FELV NEGATIVE AND THIS KITTEN IS FREE OF DISEASE by way of an State of Florida Official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection for Sale of Dog or Cat.   KITTEN GUARANTEE THE KITTEN WILL BE GUARANTEED FOR 3 YEARS FROM THE DATE OF BIRTH AGAINST LETHAL GENETIC DEFECT.    SHOULD THE KITTEN DIE WITHIN THE APPLICABLE TIME STATED ABOVE, WE WILL REPLACE IT WITH A KITTEN OF EQUAL VALUE (AS AVAILABLE).  THERE WILL BE NO CASH REFUNDS.  THE PURCHASER MUST SUBMIT A DETAILED AUTOPSY REPORT SIGNED AND CERTIFIED BY A LICENSED VETERINARIAN, STATING THE EXACT CAUSE OF DEATH, AS PROOF THAT THE KITTEN DIED OF A GENETIC DISORDER.  THE AUTOPSY AND ALL MEDICAL EXPENSES ARE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE OWNER.    THIS GUARANTEE IS NULL & VOID IF THE KITTEN/CAT IS GIVEN THE FELEUK or FIP VACCINE.  MERIEL FELINE RABIES SHOT ONLY WITHOUT ADJUVANT.  SPECIFIC BRAND PROHIBITED DUE TO HIGH RISK!   IF KITTEN IS PURCHASED AS A BREEDER AND IS UNABLE TO PRODUCE KITTENS IT WILL BE REPLACED WITH A KITTEN OF EQUAL VALUE AS AVAILABLE. (N/A)       TRANSFER OF POSSESSION Under no circumstances will Adopter sell, lease, trade, or otherwise transfer the possession of this kitten to any pet shop, research laboratory, or similar facility. The Adopter agrees to inform the Breeder immediately of any anticipated adoption or gift of this kitten to any other person or persons, and will not transfer ownership of this kitten without notification to the Breeder. Breeder has the option of reclaiming the kittens/cats if proposed transfer is deemed by Breeder to not be in the best interests of the kitten.   ALTER If ADOPTED AS A PET, the kitten must be altered prior to 1 year of age, in the absence of good cause and satisfactory medical approval. Adopter agrees and guarantees that this kitten WILL NEVER be used at stud. A registration application will be provided upon presentation of a veterinarian’s certificate of Altering (Castration).   PURCHASER RESPONSIBILITIES   CARE OF KITTEN The Adopter accepts the responsibility for caring for this kitten and providing for his welfare. The Adopter agrees to follow the Breeders instructions on care, housing, diet and health care, to the best of Adopter’s ability and as is reasonable. The Adopter agrees that this kitten will always receive prompt, highest quality medical care, and will not be allow to harbor parasites (internal or external).  The Adopter agrees to provide companionship for this kitten and not to leave him alone for long periods of time without human attention. The Adopter agrees to provide the kitten with a generous amount of exercise and to provide him with toys. The Adopter agrees not to cage this kitten except as needed for medical or isolation purposes on a temporary basis.   KITTEN HEALTH Adopter agrees to have this kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 5 days after the adoption and to report any health problems to the Breeder immediately. If any health problems are found to exist, treatment must not be undertaken without consultation of the Breeder’s veterinarian of record.  If the health of this kitten is found to be contrary to the Health Certificate provided, the Adopter shall notify the Breeder and provide a signed written statement from a licensed veterinarian describing the kitten’s health condition. In the case of a positive Elisa FeLV test, the kitten must be retested immediately due to the incidences of false positives in this test. The Breeder will either correct the health condition or replace with another kitten of equal quality as available, provided that if returned the kitten is in the same mental and physical condition as when adopted.   OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PURCHASER   VETERINARY EXAM AND HEALTH CERTIFICATE INCLUDED IN PRICE. PAYMENT OF KITTEN/CAT, PET CARRIER, ANY TAXES AND ALL SHIPPING CHARGES WILL BE PAID BY THE PURCHASER PRIOR TO THE KITTEN LEAVING THE CATTERY.   PURCHASER WILL RECEIVE THE REGISTRATION PAPERS AFTER CATTERY RECEIVES A CERTIFICATE FROM A LICENSED VETERINARIAN, STATING THE ABOVE KITTEN HAS BEEN ALTERED OR BREEDING RIGHTS HAVE BEEN PAID IN FULL.   CATTERY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DISEASES OR ILLNESSES CONTRACTED AFTER THE KITTEN LEAVES THE CONFINES OF THE CATTERY TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE, THE KITTEN IS IN GOOD HEALTH BEFORE LEAVING THE CATTERY.
